A good cup of coffee delivers real benefits — antioxidants, enhanced mental function, accelerated fat loss, and support for muscle retention.
A bad cup does the opposite. Coffee has gotten a mixed reputation largely because many commercial coffees contain mycotoxins — toxic compounds formed by mould during poor harvesting, processing, or storage. These are detrimental to both physical and mental health.
Coffee high in mycotoxins tastes bitter, causes anxiety and jitteriness, and can trigger stomach upsets, joint pain, and mental fog after the initial caffeine hit. The quality of your coffee beans matters far more than most people realise.

Why Bulletproof Coffee?
The recommendation here is to start every day with Bulletproof Coffee — low-toxin beans blended with Grass Fed Butter and MCT Oil. Butter in coffee sounds strange until you try it; after that, you won't go back.
Bulletproof Coffee delivers the benefits of quality coffee without the mycotoxin load. The Grass Fed Butter and MCT Oil keep you satiated and provide sustained energy throughout the morning. Your body uses these healthy fats to build cell membranes and synthesise hormones — both testosterone and cortisol regulation depend on adequate dietary fat — which directly supports physical performance and mental stability.
The caffeine from Bulletproof Coffee and the MCT Oil will enhance your brain function and accelerate fat loss by increasing ketones (fuel for your brain) and ketogenesis (where your body burns fat for energy rather than carbohydrates).
The Recipe
- Grind 7g of Bulletproof Coffee (low-toxin, lab-tested beans)
- Brew with 450ml of boiling water in a French press
- Leave for 5 minutes to steep
- Pass through a paper filter to remove some of the harmful oils
- Add 30ml of MCT Oil
- Add 2 tablespoons of Grass Fed Butter (e.g. Kerrygold)
- Blend with a hand blender or countertop blender until you get a nice creamy head of foam
- Enjoy
Why Grass Fed Butter?
Grass fed butter is significantly different to regular butter. Cows that eat grass produce milk with a much more beneficial fatty acid profile — higher in omega-3 fatty acids, CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K2. Regular butter from grain-fed cows is nutritionally inferior and can be loaded with mycotoxins.
The best widely available grass-fed butter is Kerrygold. Irish cows are grass-fed for the majority of the year due to Ireland's climate, making Kerrygold one of the best options available in most supermarkets.
Why MCT Oil?
MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglycerides — a type of fat that is metabolised differently to regular fats. MCTs go directly to the liver where they are rapidly converted to ketones, providing immediate fuel for the brain without the need for carbohydrates. This is why Bulletproof Coffee is so effective for mental clarity and sustained energy during the fasted state.
